Flooding is an ever present part of the Ansons Bay system. Water levels in the bay vary, depending on many factors such as rainfall, tidal, atmospheric pressure, wind direction and the restriction of outflow due to changes in the sandbar at the bar way. There have been many instances of flood at Ansons Bay. Most, unfortunately, have not been photographed however anecdotal evidence indicates flooding has occurred at levels significantly higher than those shown in the photographs.
